Did you know the patron saint of writers - authors, journalists and deaf people is St. Francis de Sales?
Yeah neither did I.

Francis was born into a noble family back in 1567 but exchanged his privileged background for the priesthood. Some of his closest friends were St Vincent de Paul, St Philip Neri, and St Jane Frances de Chantal.
Hmmm... sounds like our writers group, but maybe not, as the closest I've been to a Saint is St Michael at Marks & Spencers.
In the end his health wasn't the best and the doctors tried to revive him from a deep coma with hot irons applied to his head! Thankfully times have changed a little. We only get this when we haven't done our homework.
